Year 6 had an exciting and immersive day at Eden Camp, stepping back in time to explore the history of the Second World War. Throughout the visit, pupils developed their knowledge and understanding of wartime life, discovering more about the experiences of soldiers and civilians and the impact of the war on everyday life. The museum’s interactive displays, authentic artefacts, sounds and recreated settings brought history to life, helping the children to make meaningful connections with what they have been learning in the classroom. It was a fascinating and memorable day, with plenty of opportunities for the children to explore, ask questions and deepen their understanding of this important period in history.
